Thanks, Eric, for another great tour. I really appreciate your taking the trouble and putting in the effort to make such an entertaining game. Well done! One day I hope to understand what is going on and achieve some success... My congratulations to the other competitors, winners and candidates for the broom bus alike. Kind Regards, Andrew

Thanks to all for organising the game and participating.Gives the winter in Australia a bright warm glow for people like me who don't like football so much.

Thanks for organizing the game once more, such a shame the numbers are down on other years, blame it on the Football. Good luck to my mates who have entered, Andy, Annie and Tom , as usual I expect they will beat me, still an excuse for a drink when it is over. " Jaffa "

Thanks again for putting this game on. All the best to you (but just 5 points more to me ;-)
Peter Bruning (Airdrie, UK)
Date: 22 Jul 2009, 00:10
Thanks Erik, Norway has the best team, followed by The Netherlands and France. Norway would be in the top 10 of the overall standings at the moment with 403 points.

Ok, 11 country teams have been added. You can find them by searching for participants with Team in the name.
Peter Bruning (Airdrie, UK)
Date: 17 Jul 2009, 23:28
Small suggestion. Could you set up some country teams in the same way as "Jan Modaal" but only counting riders chosen by participants from a certain country (if there are enough). If you can't win individually at least you can contribute to your country's team!
Michael Johnston (Niagara Falls, Canada)

Pretty excited about this year. I've always watched the tour, but this is my first team!! Nice set upof your site. Thanks, and have fun!!!

Thanks for setting up this game as it does cause a lot of fun & Anguish amongst friends, to the extent that we have to ban some people from entry as they keep on beating us. I am sure as ever this is going to be a very special Tour and I hope that Lance gets to win on Mont Ventoux ,hope you all enjoy the race and best wishes to Andy,Anne, Graham, Tomasz.

Can Cadel finally nail it? As much as I wish he can....there is a lot of politics happening at the moment which will assist him (Astana). Regards Ross
Scott Sanders (Boulder, USA)
Date: 01 Jul 2009, 22:46
Thanks again, Erik. Here's hoping Lance can make it 8 and shut the critics up once and for all.

Great game. I have been away for a few years but now i'm back. A bit confused about the cyclist list. T.Ferral (should be Farral ?) and whats E. Zabel doing there ???

Jörgen Jonzon (Swe)
Date: 28 Jul 2008, 17:52
Thanks for the game but some of my friends got their teams eradicated. Not so nice.
Remco van Veenendaal (Roosendaal, The Netherlands)
Date: 27 Jul 2008, 10:49
I'm very happy for my son Jasper (20 months) to win a stage with his draw-with-a-crayon-on-the-riders-list team. Perhaps it's time for me to adopt his approach to team selection, given my results in the game in the past 10+ editions :-)
Dick Howard (Salem, Va., USA)
Date: 22 Jul 2008, 01:42
Erik, This is my seventh or eighth year and the only TdF game I play. Thanks!
Gary Timberlake (Canada)
Date: 08 Jul 2008, 00:52
8th year...finally won a stage!! Newbies, don't give up. This the best on-line TDF game. Yellow is a nice color, Polka Dots are kinda funky, white is so bland....Green is where it's at.
Grandmaster L (-, Sweden)
Date: 07 Jul 2008, 23:13
What happened!!!!!!My team is not among the listed????? I was among the listed participants and now my team is gone!!
Remco van Veenendaal (Roosendaal, Netherlands)
Date: 07 Jul 2008, 20:33
Daar gaan we weer! Succes Erwin (Mieghommel) en Anton (Krijgsman). Let ook weer op Jasper (van Veenendaal, anderhalf jaar jong) die weer met een random team meedoet :-)
Leighton (Invercargill, NEW ZEALAND!)
Date: 05 Jul 2008, 03:16
Thank you once again Erik for providing the opportunity to take part in the BEST INTERNET TDF Game! I got absolutely slaughtered in last years game...so in the off-seson I've done some hard training in bars drinking 7 percent beer/lager and eating 5 mince and cheese pies to boost my fitness for this years tour! Cheers again!
Christian S Wolf (Saint Louis, MO, USA)
Date: 05 Jul 2008, 02:30
Thank you so much Erik. The Tour wouldn't be the same without your game.
Jaffa Fiona (London, England)
Date: 04 Jul 2008, 19:36
Thanks for setting up the game once more. Sorry to see the numbers are down on other years. Lets hope for a good race without any bad press. If all the earlier races we have seen this year are a guide then this TOUR will be open to any one with the spirit to have a go. Hope you all enjoy the race. Good luck to Andy,Keith and the banned for life Anniepooh all in England.
Marcel Spanjer (Eelde, Nederland)
Date: 04 Jul 2008, 16:48
Eerlijk gezegd had ik de hoop opgegeven. Zat al een team bij het DvhN in te vullen. Maar dat is toch echt maar surrogaat.... Dank je voor deze ongetwijfeld weer mooi editie.
fruey (Argenteuil, France)
Date: 01 Jul 2008, 10:13
Excellent, glad to see the game back. It's part of the summer routine! Can't follow the tour without it!
Jos (The Netherlands)
Date: 30 Jun 2008, 21:56
Opluchting....! Thanks Erik.
Marcel Spanjer (Eelde, Nederland)
Date: 30 Jun 2008, 14:29
Hmmm, er valt alweer een vaste waarde weg uit ons bestaan. Na 14 edities geen TdF Game 2008? Moeten we nu allemaal grijpen naar tweehandsjes (Rondemaster e.d.)?
Jos (The Netherlands)
Date: 30 Jun 2008, 11:12
Hallo Erik, Nog steeds geen editie 2008. We worden een beetje ongerust, het gaat toch wel door zeker?
Scott Sanders (Boulder, Colorado, USA)
Date: 29 Jun 2008, 05:09
Erik, Hey man, I hope you plan to crank this thing up soon. It's an internet institution in July, and I need my TdF game! Happy Trails
dan (Leeds, UK)
Date: 20 Jun 2008, 15:17
yes, would be great if it would work this year so I can participate!
Robin (Brooklyn, NY, USA)
Date: 20 Jun 2008, 04:50
Erik, I hope you can find the time in between quiz nights and bike rides to get the 2008 game going.
Paul (auckland, New Zealand)
Date: 18 Jun 2008, 10:25
Hey Eric - you still running the game for 2008? I hope so.

Regina Bryson (Tennessee, USA)
Date: 12 Jul 2007, 07:13
This is a great game. It took me awhile to locate it this year. Playing for my fourth time and hopefully will do better.
Remco van Veenendaal (Roosendaal, Netherlands)
Date: 11 Jul 2007, 19:48
This year I'm not only competing against the usual suspects Eb Mieghommel and Anton Krijgsman, but there is also my son (7 months), who created a list by marking riders with a pencil :-) So far, I'm ahead of him (Jasper van Veenendaal). Great game, Erikt!
Kate Selwoos (Swindon, UK)
Date: 11 Jul 2007, 10:32
I still have no points! I wonder how much longer I can make this last....
Caleb Trotter (Lucan, Canada)
Date: 10 Jul 2007, 18:42
FABIAN CASSTELLARA WON STAGE 3! UNBELIEVABLE! I PICKED HIM! YEE HAW!
Pablo García Chao (Xixón, Asturies)
Date: 10 Jul 2007, 13:02
Well, I guess the best decision for this year's game is placing many sprinters in the first places of the team! Sorry for those who haven't done!
Leighton (Invercargill, New Zealand)
Date: 10 Jul 2007, 12:39
Thank you Erik for the chance to again compete in the BEST INTERNET TOUE DE FRANCE GAME! However I am afraid the sport of professional road cycling is now the most corrupt and filthy drug riddled sport in the world especially this event. It is a disgrace to sport and must be cleaned up though will take years. It is simply unacceptable that riders can 'passport' their 'medical' certificates by AUT so they can be 'cleared' to race. 60% of riders had certificates last year and 40% this year. It is far too easy for a rider to fake asthma and be prescribed beclomethasone dipropionate to medicate it. That is a joke as almost all the peleton has asthma!
Tom Denters (The Netherlands)
Date: 10 Jul 2007, 00:18
My team is removed now :( I know it looked like my brother's butt we filled in seperatly.
Caleb Trotter (Lucan, , Canada)
Date: 09 Jul 2007, 15:40
i have robbie mcewen, and castelllenara. boy, that was an unbelievable sprint, fabian won't hold on 2 the jersey much longer. Vinokourov is my man to win!
Mathew Butterworth (Newport, NSW, Australia)
Date: 09 Jul 2007, 08:04
Go Robbie, What an awsome sprint!
Geoff Orange (Reading, Great Britain)
Date: 08 Jul 2007, 20:20
Good luck to my mate down in Devon, I expect as usual we will be trashed by his un-qualified female Team Manageress. The TDF got off to an excellent start here in London yesterday so we wish it well over the next three weeks and look forward to all the excitement and dramas that it brings, " Vive Le Tour " " Fiona.Jaffa London

I love this game, but I can't really take it seriously! Don't go for big names, only the ones that sound good, and my ambition, after 3 years of playing and nearly getting there, is to be LAST. What an honour!!
Ross Ogilvie (Woodend, Australia)
Date: 08 Jul 2007, 04:46
G'Day all. Well here we go again....three weeks of sleep deprivation.....and loving it! Thankyou for running the game Erik.....and go Aussies!
Jim Green (Rowlett, Texas, USA)
Date: 06 Jul 2007, 06:22
Can't wait to see what happens this year
Kate Selwood (Swindon, UK)
Date: 05 Jul 2007, 17:07
I picked my team purely on the names of the riders, but my co-workee says I have done well.... only time will tell!
jed j fritsch (la crosse wi, usa)
Date: 05 Jul 2007, 04:08
This is the third year I have participated. I have yet to pick my team. I need to study the riders then I will decide. This is so much fun to play. I check my status everyday. Some participants are really good at this game. I am amazed at their point totals after each stage. Let's keep this game. It's all in fun and no money involved.
